Neoborn Caveman – “12 Days of Love” Single

Review by: Justyn W. Brodsky

Neoborn Caveman has graced our platform before. And the more we get to know him, the more versatility of his musical stature comes to light. His single “12 Ways of Love” is definitely a rollercoaster ride of one of his many angles of multifaceted goodness that truly shines on a path that bridges the gap between originality and familiarity; giving us even more insight into NC‘s soundscapes and artistic merit.

Utilizing a more electronically infused signature sound, from beginning to end, NC‘s vocals resonate both lyrically and rhythmically parallel. And that’s what makes this song truly unique – we get to indulge into NC‘s vocal abilities in ways that are multilayered with standouts of their own.

The usage of EDM is very anthemic and organized. Everything flows melodically much like his other material, but, “12 Ways of Love” is a modern treat for the ears that brings forth a futuristic sound that is also comprised of many familiar vocal melody structuring. And that’s another facet of this song – structuring. We get genre-bending elements that are surprising but still smoothly transitioned in a way that doesn’t throw the song off. Oh, and the subtlety in NC‘s voice manages to sustain perfectly alongside his musical character. The many elements used to suspend every measure of this song is chosen wisely and crafted carefully. This song has twists and turns, but never strays from its actual foundation that the track starts with. “12 Ways Of love” is one big dose of versatility with its own sense of sweetness, splendor and charm all doused in one electronic package of compelling production value.

“12 Ways of Love” releases August 31st and will be available everywhere including all digital music streaming platforms.

Album Review: Rob Alexander – “Being Myself” LP

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

Rob Alexander has put together a plethora of songs that bring out many different elements of Rock, Alternative, and a soft-Rock approach to many songs that are detail oriented, charming and versatile; designed to win you over and offer something for everyone on Rob‘s 15-track masterpiece “Being Myself”.

The album name lives up to the name in every way, but Rob (just like any other artist) draws reminiscences to several personal influences, including industry heavyweights like Elton John. Rob began hitting the ground running in the music realm around 2018 with the release of his freshman record “Long Road Coming Home”, which was released in February of that year. While garnering a solid buzz for his name since his first album, he quickly gathered up a group of elite musicians to assist him with recording a catalogue of new songs in 2019. This album is what would end up being his critically acclaimed “Being Myself”, his most successful album to date. On top of this sophomore record being much better than the precedent effort, this record also featured several world class musicians including 3 members of Elton John’s current musical lineup; comprised of Matt Bissonette on bass guitar, Kim Bullard on keyboards, and John Mahon on drums and percussion. The album was produced by Gabe Lopez.

A Little More About Rob Alexander:

While Rob‘s album has 15 versatile and distinctive tracks that have something for just about anyone, one thing that’s made apparent is his precise attention to detail; very multifaceted chord progressions with very selective vocal melodies that aren’t only catchy, but genuinely well thought out as well. The type of vocal melody choices where you honestly wouldn’t change one thing. With piano-driven, soothing songs that really give this record more charm than you’d ever expect, this album does pick up the pace with tracks like “We’re Living In A Dream” and the electronic-infused “Secrets & Lies”, which in my opinion projects one of the best choruses on the record, but never trails ahead of the rest of the song’s.

Rob Alexander‘s story is quite one to behold from writing two well-received albums in two years, one which includes members of one of his all time idols; feats that even big time artists sometimes don’t get to experience nowadays. Currently, 3 anchor singles are playing regularly throughout the radio circuit from his “Being Myself” album; including the tracks “Never Gonna Let You Go”, “Friend Of Mine (Elton’s Epic)”, and the ambient “Life As We Know It”, which all garner airplay regionally throughout the country. This 15-track gem is a masterpiece of its kind and it’ll be very difficult to pick a favorite song once you take a listen to it. Rob Alexander truly hits it out of the park with the triumphantly produced and performed “Being Myself”.

Artist Review: Poetic RockStar – “Gemini Dancer” Single

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

Soul. Poetry. And a rising star gives DMV-area artist Poetic RockStar the persona and identity that has been pivotal to his career in music.

While mastering his own craft in the writing and poetry worlds, he also utilizes his skills to encourage and inspire others to tap into their respective passions. However, it’s his own passion of writing that inspired PoeticRockStar into forming his own signature sound and genre called Neotry – a charismatic and stylistic combination of Jazz, Neo-Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, and Poetry; stirred with a modernized twist that brings out his renowned play on words, and straightforward bars-approach that sets him aside from your run-of-the-mill artist or rapper.

His song “Gemini Dancer” is a great introduction into PR‘s world, and really showcases every angle of his artistic merit in all its glory. With a simple and effective guitar progression driving this song forward, PR delivers a soul-infused hook with a conceptual flow and versatile approach to the everyday life of being single and ready to mingle.

Incorporating his signature Neotry sound and style into every story-telling verse, “Gemini Dancer” is a witty and brilliantly crafted track that has powerful performance value and originality. While touching on a very valid and all-too-often concept, he executes it perfectly with a very effective way of delivering a flow of words that you can easily resonate with, and enjoy in a whole different way.

He keeps this song upbeat, encourages crowd participation, and strongly boasts a genuinely positive vibe during every measure of this song. It has endless likability factors and a catchiness that is hard to achieve in this era of music.

You’re likely to recognize every facet of each genre implemented into this song, but it’s never been done quite like this. Poetic RockStar has set new boundaries for other artists of his caliber, and is gonna help lead the way with newer and fresher forms of artistic expression. Do yourself a favor and give yourself the Neotry experience that we got; you’ll be glad we recommended it.
