Artist Review: Imani WJ Wright

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

It’s not often that I stumble upon an artist and decide to take him under the reviewer’s wing, but we’re gonna change the pace a bit here at the Artist Reach camp.

Sensuality, good vibes and a little Rock & Soul might be a few choice words for young and upcoming Artist/Producer Imani WJ Wright

Starting out in the business early, talented and serving as your own Producer is definitely the way to go. That’s why I have to tip my hat to Mr. Wright. His single, “Appreciation”, is a lovingly witty and soul-soothing track that is bound to draw in the ladies at first blush. For a debut single, I’d say he can accomplish just that. This song does one big thing though…it gets you pumped for the prospective future for the young Artist. I wanna hear what else this young man can do. Because he’s absolutely on the right track in every way; music and image alike.

If you have appreciation, no pun intended, for an up and comer ready to take sensuality, sexuality, and the heart and soul of music’s passion, Mr. Wright is right up your alley. I hear a man ready to take off and fly. He has his passport, plane ticket, and the jet ready, and this song walks me to the plane.

So again, I have to give major props to a young guy giving his heart and soul to true music that definitely won’t shy you away. “Appreciation” is a stunner for its alley of execution, and I’m dying to hear what move this guy makes next musically. I’m jet-ready, let’s get the plane to take off!

This single is definitely on the Wright track! Double-pun completely intended.

Now his other single, “Make Me”, shows a different side to Imani WJ Wright, but still utilizes the same elements within his content and overall execution. This song allows you to get to know the fellow artist a little bit more, and explore what he has to offer as an artist that does it the DIY way.

This song offers up more edge and production value. Each measure is well crafted and keeps you listening and adds more character depth to his music and image. This is definitely a great follow-up from the predecessing track.

With the great R&B vibe still in the forefront, this song definitely will capture your heart and put some soul into you. It entices you to research more into Imani WJ Wright as an artist and persona.

These are some solid tracks for this young man, and we at Artist Reach would like you to check them out. It’s not often that we Review an artist on-the-spot or happen upon them, but this seemed like the right occasion.

Artist Review: Tiffany Desrosiers – “Fearless” (Official Music Video)

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

A voice of an angel, and an extraordinary visual experience in cinematography.

Hailing from the landscapes of Vancouver, BC, acclaimed singer Tiffany Desrosiers has been turning many heads with her angelic voice, classy image, and her knack for turning the stage into a sanctuary when she performs. She has played shows with artist greats such as Ben Harper, David Foster, and many others over the years and has a very impressive touring résumé.

Her single “Fearless”, from her most recent album of the same name, is not only a solid and powerfully produced song, but also a music video that’s very cinematic, beautifully directed and edited, and is a journey to behold. This is not your every day video. There’s dynamic costume designs, a very solidified cast, scenic shooting locations, innovative camera work, and a magical presence as the video reaches its most climactic resolutions.

The song is a treat for any EDM/Pop listener. Tiffany‘s vocal structures are very tasteful with great melodies that brilliantly showcase her very impressive vocal range and mind-bending vibratos. The verses are delicate, ambient, and extremely soothing like a back rub. Her lyrical content is very expressive and makes great use of the build-ups that lead her into a powerful chorus that is bound to stick in your head.

I must say though. This song is great all on its own and should be played internationally on any EDM-oriented Radio station, but the video brings a dynamically uplifted visual stroke of genius that makes this song a stand-out of its kind. It’s a fasten-your-seatbelt kind of experience, and never wavers from the concept, or overall aura. It’s just an amazing video that you have to see to believe.

Artist Review: Malk Naz

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

A vivacious sound, strong sing-songy outbursts with clever rhyming schemes that transitions beautifully makes Malk Naz‘s new single “The Wave (I’m Turn’t Up)”  a very charismatically fun listen with some great lines and bars that can easily stick in your head like glue.

Hailing from North Carolina, Malk Naz has hit the ground running since coming onto the scene; collating with a great handful of talented artists and putting in the proper legwork to make his name known, admired, and recognized.

This single has all of today’s and yesterday’s Hip Hop elements that makes a song like this an instant club banging classic, or bass thumping anthem. It has that insatiable R&B influenced production value with great lines and hooks that keep you listening and grasping onto the catchy nature that this track gives off. It’s not overly explicit, it has good vibes, and can be appreciated by anyone that’s captivated by this genre.

Malk Naz has a very persistent voice that fits perfectly in the forefront and carries with him a dynamic aura, a high confidence level, and great direction with his unique style that could easily be heard among NYC’s HOT 97 rotation.

This artist brings a lot of chemistry to his craft and is very noticeable in this track, and other tracks in his catalogue as well. But I must say, “The Wave” definitely set out to impress, and succeeded beautifully. This is by far a must-listen for any charismatic Hip Hop listener. Malk Naz will definitely be worthy of being added to your playlist.

Malk Naz‘s Next To Rise Tour took place earlier this year in March. He’s currently booking new tour dates. Keep your eyes and ears open for when he comes to your city!

Artist Review: Ed Roman

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

Ed Roman, an Award-Winning singer-songwriter & multi instrumentalist from Shelbourne, Ontario, Canada, brings a very eclectic, vibrant, and jammy sound to the table with some astonishing vocal delivery. If you’re into Alternative with some energetic Roots-Rock, Roman is your draft pick.

With some artist influences that range from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paul Simon, and Bob Marley, there is a swell concoction stirred up with some intelligent and diligently original ingredients that makes Ed Roman stand out. His title track “Red Omen” gives off a Rusted Roots kinda groove, but with a much more powerful vocal delivery. His charisma is impossible to go unnoticed and his voice is very clean, well-polished, and like a train…rams right into some of the most versatile and natural vocal harmonies this genre could ever ask for. The percussion drives this song forward very dynamically and perhaps puts the rest of the players into their best atmosphere, keeping them at the top of their game at all times. The musicianship is an amazement that ensures a faultless outcome for themselves, and the foreground for Ed Roman to bring out the vocal power.

Once again, same thing for the song “Tough Cookie”. Powerful, unforgettable story-telling vocals that captivate the body and soul of any listener. A great tempo from a very gifted drummer, and a great craft of performance from Roman‘s cast of characters. “Tough Cookie” is a tough song to get out of your head.

Ed Roman‘s uniquely crafted songs have received critical acclaim and regular rotation on more than 100 terrestrial radio stations across North America and more than 400 stations Worldwide. He was a 2014 Artists Music Guild Award Nominee, won the 2014 International Music & Entertainment Association Award, a 2-time IMEA Award Nominee in 2015, a 2015 and 2016 Josie Show Awards Nominee, an Akademia Awards Winner, and a 2-time Indie Music Channel Award Winner.

This kind of recognition deemed his enormously growing fan-base as “Ed Heads”; and when you take a listen to Red Omen yourself and see what all the hype’s about, you’ll be one too! Artist Reach approved. Hands down!

Artist Review: Eddy Mann

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

When it comes to leadership in spirituality and the love for God and life altogether, Eddy Mann is your man; your inspiration. He’s a musician, teacher, speaker, coach, husband, father, and has also been a leader in Worship for the past 15 years as well.

20 years ago however, Mann knew that through his soulful and genuine talent for music that he decided to devote his artistic expression to God. Anyone who knows him, knows that he has a very big heart and a very big impact on those that have embraced him and his music.

His single “You, You Make Me Feel” from his recent album Dig Love is a very joyful and uplifting demonstration of Mann‘s catchy melodies, great use of vocal harmonies, and a great Americana sound that carries a very positive message throughout. It’s a very diligent song with Mann‘s great voice showcasing the foreground while his band distinctly ties together a very fun, catchy sound that fits his vocals perfectly for the genre and overall aura of the song.

“You, You Make Me Feel” is currently being played on Americana radio circuits all over the world. While I have no doubt that he has endless musical influences, Mann‘s most inspirational influences come mostly from his family, God, and the genuine love & essence of life. A gift that he never takes for granted. He’s truly an artist whose spiritual realm has nurtured his devotion to creating music. Since his musical beginnings, he’s released 7 albums; Dig Love being his most recent since its 2014 release. He’s currently working on a new LP, The Consequence, slated for a Fall release; a direct follow up to Dig Love that follows the same authentic format.

Eddy Mann is an artist that truly captivates you with his spirituality, love of God, and all the loved ones in his life. His soul is ever present at all times through the soothing textures and impressive vocal range he boasts. Dig Love is a fantastic album that will definitely keep you looking forward to his follow up record. It’s a joy to behold, as is Mann‘s music and personality alike!
