Artist Review: Rachael Hadassah – “Ain’t Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us” Single

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

Charismatic, fun, with a funky vibe. Singer/Actress Rachael Hadassah hits us with a positive message on her fresh sounding single “Ain’t Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us”.

Jumping fresh into a music career, you might also recognize Hadassah from films like Amazon Prime’s Misunderstood Sadie, Anykah, and the dark twisted comedy Terrorizing the Todd. But now shifting from in front of the cameras to the front of he microphone, we capture a portrait of a very versatile and determined artist.

This single definitely has a fresh city club vibe to it, and garners elements of Hip Hop, and old school R&B with a 90s feel. The chorus delivers us a very catchy and identifiable presence that puts a fresh balance between charisma and texture when it comes to Hadassah‘s vocal range. Her vocals stand very close to the forefront and really put a witty edge to her overall execution of this song.

She definitely encompasses the passion that most artists lack nowadays; you can tell she’s not just after some money grab. She is an aspiring artist truly ready to come out of her shell and shine like a gem. And “Ain’t Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us” is a great indication that nothing’s gonna be stopping Rachael Hadassah‘s drive for success anytime soon.

Artist Review: LEX – “Right & Wrong” Single

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

A strong Pop sensibility with R&B the way it was meant to be is a rare gem to find in today’s music realm. That’s why you’re gonna be glad you discovered LEX‘s new single “Right & Wrong”. At only 18 years of age, this rising starlet delivers up a truly ambient and captivating track that projects authenticity, musicianship, and a dynamic we just don’t hear in today’s music anymore.

This song reels you in from the beginning; an essence of enchantment and production value that showcases the charisma LEX carries herself with. With a smooth verse to grasp at our heartstrings, you can clearly hear the raw talent and perfected vocal range LEX brings out.

Her moods are subtle and charismatic in all the right places, and the chorus is an absolute payoff in both melody structure and lyrical content. This is definitely a track that will relentlessly stick in your head. It has that rare element we don’t see nearly as often anymore, and that’s staying power — a song that’ll stay with you even after it’s over, and one you can come back to time and time again. And also the ability to entice you to research more into LEX‘s catalogue.

“Right & Wrong” is a song for those who long for the glory days of classic R&B, and today’s more notable mainstream components that remind us that there is still great music out there to be discovered. When you take a listen to this track yourself, you’ll see exactly what we mean; and we have no doubt you’ll love this song just as much as we do.

Artist Review: BoDee

Review By: Justyn Brodsky

Some Artists poetically go into major depths and deep meanings in their songs. I have no doubt this Artist does a lot of that, but in BoDee‘s banger “Two Words”, we are gonna come up to the surface and keep it real for this one. VERY real.

I’m sure all of us have had a nasty breakup…or 9. And what’s a fellow Artist to do most of the time? Write about it! With the exception of Taylor Swift, most of us have two words we would love to shout at some of those nasty exes. And it’s not “best wishes”. I’m sure you catch the drift. With this in mind, BoDee holds nothing back with this lyrical attack, and how the song’s theme is approached is what makes it hit as hard as it does. It’s a big smack in the face on the first listen, for so many good reasons.

We hear a very clever and well-textured opening bluesy guitar riff as the smooth and soothing R&B vocals start things off. Thinking that this song might be just another well written Rhythm & Blues anthem, in steps the Hip-Hop sledgehammer that I never saw coming. And it appropriately begins with those…two words. Those two words we hear all the time, but in this case, a time where it has most impact; when it’s least expected.

BoDee‘s vocals are charismatic with a very solid range and great tone. It’s rare that you find Rappers who are also able to sing their hooks at this level. The rhymes are clever, the complimented R&B melodies are integrated and fit perfectly in the song’s overall craft, and it’s a song in my opinion that’ll never get old. It’s a great uplifter for the possibly broken man. It’s also an honest song, just about as honest as it gets. The Musicianship parallels this as well perfectly, so all the right elements are there. The delivery is spot on, the production value never outdoes itself, and this song is bound to be on repeat for many guys out there yearning to shout those two words at the one who went astray. Beauty of it is, they don’t have to personally do it…they can just send them this song. And let it do all the talking it needs. This song is just remarkable. We all have related to it time and time again, and this song will be listened to the same way; time and time again.
