Artist Review: Odious Love – Self Titled EP

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

When it comes to atmosphere, ambience and enchanting production value, Odious Love‘s self-titled EP does absolute justice.

Each and every song is crafted to its perfection. This producer’s solo project goes beyond the realm of the average record release, and really puts his heart and soul into making the mixing board his sanctuary.

One highlight from this EP that must be mentioned is the single/music video for the track “If It’s Love,” a melodic journey into musical and visual bliss that showcases two dancers that represent the song’s overall content, with their movements telling the story.

First and foremost, the lyrics and vocal melodies in this song are on today’s mainstream level, reminiscent of superstars like Adele, Sia, and others of their caliber. It has an unforgettable chorus and timeless measures of blissful moods that parallel the song’s aura and innovative production perfectly. This is definitely a next-level song that will grab your attention.

Every track of this EP is an exercise of different angles from the same producer and his capabilities not only behind the board, but with songwriting as well. There is a lot of life and spirit breathed into these songs and this EP really reflects how versatile and dynamic Odious Love really is.

This is a masterpiece recommended for all out there who are itching to discover that next artist or project that will inspire you. Odious Love‘s EP does exactly that.

With dynamic choir harmonies, a strong positive message and top notch production value, Gospel has found a new kind of power in Laos In Harmony.

The New York-based group emerged onto the scene in 2005 and has been a powerful entity among the elite NYC music scene ever since. Their ministry has been a force to be reckoned with throughout the 5-boroughs and have been highly acclaimed from their moving performances and unwavering spirituality. And this is beautifully demonstrated in their newest uplifting single “I Win” accompanied by an eye-catching music video.

The song was written by the group’s director, Chelton Thorpe, a talented songwriter, producer and musician based in New York City. It’s a multifaceted and inspirational track with all the key elements of great production and performance value. In addition to this, the music video makes this track an astonishing audio and visual experience, giving the listener the full ride that Laos In Harmony offers. The landscapes of the Brooklyn Bridge with a cast of incredible vocalists right from the start draws you in from their insatiable passion and image. Artist Review: Carsen Gray feat. DJ SHUB – Wanna See You (Official Music Video)

Review by: Justyn Brodsky & Dave Welsh

Eye candy, ear candy, and instant-classic status are some definitive ways of summing up Carsen Gray‘s Music Video for her song “Wanna See You” (Featuring DJ SHUB).

This is a video for every music hungry person out there (especially if you’re a male) that are always searching for the next up & coming Artist that’s right on the verge of something very, very big in their shortcomings. This song is catchy, on point, has amazing choreography, black light visuals (including neon green stilettos!), and most of all, an amazing presentation of very talented post production in both the song and video.

And that’s one of the best parts of this song. The production value parallels perfectly with the audio and imagery. And it never outdoes itself in any way. This is the first song and video I’ve seen/heard in a long time where I wanted this song to last much longer than it did. And I mean that in the best way possible. Because it immediately entices you to check out Gray‘s other videos, songs, and back catalogue that she’s put together beautifully in a very short time; which shows me that if she can garner a presence and fan base this quickly, imagine what she can accomplish with a longer period of time.

With many Artists out there creating their spin on the Pop/EDM sensibility right now, I must say that Carsen Gray takes the cake by a landslide. Because most artists that succumb to this genre nowadays normally fall short very quickly. Meanwhile, Gray hits it out of the park, and it’s something I haven’t heard on this level quite yet. So do we recommend her? No. We DEMAND her! She deserves more than a recommendation. By the power invested in me as a music blogger, music service entrepreneur and multi-musician, we demand you to give “Wanna See You”  a watch & listen right now. Just trust us on this one!
